It was finally time for her to get out, amongst the world. It had been a few days of boxes, of tape, of rearranging and reassembling. Tedious though it was, she rather enjoyed it. One of the many simple pleasures in life, doing things the hard way and on your own. In her years of life, if you so choose to call it that, she had learned such a lesson. She had also learned to listen and well. She had heard many a thing about this city she had chosen, this Velcora, especially about it's strange inhabitants. Being a rather curious creature, she had to find out, had to see for herself if the stories were true. Not that she doubted them, that would be ridiculous. She knew all to well the truth of 'strange creatures'. What she had trouble believing was that so many had gathered in such close vicinity.

True, it would not be the first time this type of thing had happened, but often times excitement occurred in these areas. Sometimes, too exciting, but at least amusing. Which was also why she was here. She had little else to live for, in any case. After so many years, the things you hold dear in a normal, or shall we say, mortal life span become rather ridiculous and far too many times disappointing. But, she hadn't given up on everything. Which was why she was on her way out tonight.

She had taken the extra time to actually make something decent of herself, dressing herself up for the scene that was Club Gravity. She had heard it was a fairly ritzy place and decided it was a good place to start. Not the best, but in a new city one can only do so much with so little information. It wasn't very late into the evening, sometime around ten when she found herself within the walls of the place, taking in the scene and those around her as she made her way toward the bar. Sliding into a stool, her gaze continued to wander as she made a short order of some innocuous alcoholic drink or another.

-- This is how he should be living, going out at night and having a good time, not skullking around the streets in the middle of the night. Tonight is going to be a time for Vincent to take some time to relax and catch up on a life he had been neglecting for some time now. So not to draw attention to himself, that would probably ruin his night, Vincent had come without any of his weapons save his red lensed glasses which enabled him to 'see' the auras of people and so tell what species they are, unfortunatly in a crowded place like this it could be hard, with so many people so close together auras tended to get mixed. He also wore them to cover his injured eye, always shut due to a scar running over it, something he didn't like to show out in public.

-- Because it was a night to enjoy himself Vincent had tried to make himself look somewhat respectable. His blond hair has been spiked up a little, the tips dyed a mixture of red and black. Attire consisted of simple clothing; a black button up shirt, sleeves short enough to show the flame tattooes on his forearms and black, slightly faded, jeans that have a number of link-chain hanging from the belt loops, crisscrossing over eachother. He tried to look as normal as he could, but with almost bleach white hair, tattooed arms and wearing glasses inside, it would be hard to miss this individual.

-- Quickly looking around himself Vincent makes his way towards the bar, though he has never been a big drinker of alcohol he thought it the best place to go to find someone to at least have some form of conversation with.::

((I'm so good. I didn't even notice you had replied... *facedesk*))

Sitting quietly and inconspicuously at the end of the bar, she managed to keep tabs on every person that came to the bar. More importantly, she could tell who she ought to avoid and who might make for an interesting conversation and/or snack later on. However, one person in particular did happen to stand out against the crowd. Perhaps it was the striking blond hair, even more peculiar was that it was on a full grown male, something she didn't see very often. Perhaps it was the tattoos dancing up his forearms and disappearing into the sleeves of his shirt. Mostly, though, it was the glasses.

She couldn't help but smile at the image that brought to mind. Rose tinted. Was he trying to see the world a better place? She chuckled, looking into her drink, swirling it and taking a sip. Who wore those crazy colored sunglasses anymore, really? Especially with jeans? And at night? Oh, mortals and they're strange ways. Even stranger fashion. She watched him through lowered lashes, so as to continue to be unobtrusive.

((Yeah, she's a watcher, by the way. You're going to have to go to her to get anything out of her.))

Heading towards the bar vincent couldn't help but feel people watching him. Frowning a little he seats himself at the, ignoring the look the bartender gives him and orders a beer, one of the few alcoholic drinks he could consume without feeling ill. Looking around slowly Vincent can see a few immortals in the place, mainly vampires but there are a few lycans and even some demons. Vampires he could take on unarmed, but lycans and demons posed more of a problem, and he was beginning to feel glad that he hadn't brought any of his weapons, they would just make him stand out.

Vincent looks to either side of him. On one side is a human, no threat. On the other side is a vampire, a female at that which could cause some problems. Running a hand through his hair, a habit of been uncomfortbale or nervouse, and takes a few sips of his drink. He wasn't here to cause any trouble or get into fights with anyone be they immortal or not, just wanted to have a convosation with someone even if they are immortal. Pushing up his glasses a little so he can see normally, and if you looked closed enough the scar running over his eyes can be seen. He looks from the human to the vampiress and had to admitt that, as always, the vampiress looked more appealing. Letting his glasses drop back over his eyes Vincent turns to the vampiress. He didn't care that she is a vampire. "Don't you feel a little out of place been around so many people who are with someone?, woundering why you're not one of those people?". He is facing her, but because of his glasses it is hard to tell the expression on his face.::

She noticed his discomfort and the fact that he could tell she was watching him and so she decided to pretend her attention was elsewhere. That is, until he spoke to her. She quirked a brow, giving him her full attention. "Not at all." She replied, rather simply, swirling her glass again. "Then again, one cannot be expected to be with anyone when you don't know anyone." She reached a hand out to him, a slight smile on her face. "My name's Lucine."

He was actually quite suprized when Lucine spoke back to him, really not expecting her to. "True, and it's not good either when the only person you do know is a child". Vincent thought back to when he had met Rowena and the promise he had made to her, still the fact that he had made a promise to a vampire seemed funny to him. "Not knowing anyone hasn't stoped people before, but you have a point". Vincent takes Lucine's hand in one of his, palms and fingers covered in small cut/burn scars. "Nice to meet you Lurcine, I'm Vincent". He lets go of her hand and reaches up to his glasses, deciding to take them off, he wanted to see her without the aura of a vampire. He takes them off slowly and placing them on the bartop, the scar that keeps one of his eyes closed running over the bridge of his nose and over one corner of his mouth, giving him a slightly crooked-smile.::

Her smile tugged harder on the corners of her mouth as he shook her hand. "Vincent. Strong name. Strong hand shake. It's a pleasure." She said to him, releasing his hand, listening. She quirked a brow. "A child? Would this child be your own or one of those adorable creatures that seems to always be wandering away from mommy...?" She asked, somewhat amused by his statement. She took immediate notice of not only the scars that adorned his fingers and hands, but the mark on his face as well. She couldn't help but flinch inwardly, recalling a pain much akin to what he must have experienced. However, her's healed without the promise of puckered skin, as he had suffered. And, despite her roaring curiosity, she kept herself in check and continued on the previous subject. "Not knowing anyone has stopped many people. Forced even some of them to stop and think, which is always a welcome response. How long have you been here, if I may be so bold as to ask you all these things?"

Vincent laughs a little, "No, not a child of my own, don't have the time for one of my own. She's the daughter of...someone that I've met briefly, sometimes I meet her around the streets, she's the only person I really know properly. But she does tend to wander away from her mother, but I'm sure she is able to look after herself, all she needs to do is make one of those baby-faces and whoever is trying to do her harm will not want to hurt such an 'innocent' child".

Vincent knew she was thinking about the scar of his face, people always thought about it but hardly ever asked, which he was rather thankfull of, it would be hard to make up a reason for the scar that was so precisely placed and clean cut, no accident would leave a scar like that. "Stopping to think, a problem I have far too often for my own good". "I haven't been here all that long, perhaps a few months, been keeping myself amused and busy. And I don't mind you asking questions, aslong as I am willing to answer them".::

"Baby-faces?" She murmured. "I highly doubt that such a 'tactic' works on all forces. I'm more than sure that I can think of a hand full of people who wouldn't even give her a second glance after they cut her down." She halted in her words, realizing what she must sound like. Such the pessimist. She sighed. "I'm sorry. It's just bothersome that parents allow their children to wander so, especially in a city."

She shook her head, continuing with the other topics they had touched upon. "It's not always a problem. Depending upon the situation, that is. However, in most circumstances, as in meeting someone, it's certainly necessary... Only a few months, huh? I've been here... Three days? Something like that. I don't know, it's hard to tell time when you're up to your eyeballs in moving boxes." She mused, smiling.

"You'd be suprized, for someone so young she can run pretty damn fast, and hide good too". "You shouldn't be too criticle of her mother, I'm sure that if she knew her daughter was out in the streets at night then she'd be pretty upset about it, but if she doesn't know then there's nothing that can be done about it...but I'm out pretty much every night so if I see her I hang around her to make sure she doens't get into any trouble. Also her mother knows alot of people, so there's always someone that'll be able to keep an eye on her".

"Sometimes thinking about something too much brings about hesitation, and evn one second of delay can make a difference, be it when meeting someone or making a decision". "Yeah, I havn't been here too long, been moving around alot from place to place, don't know how long I'll stay here though, depends on what happens I guess". Vincent moved from city to city, seeking out the 'immortals' that are causing trouble in those places, sometimes for rewards, but most times just for the knowledge that in a small way he's made the people safer. "Well it's good to take a break from 'work', take some time out and recooperate your energy. Do you plane of staying here long?".::

She decided that the subject of the child was really none of her concern, despite how bothersome it appeared to her. She did, however, address the rest of the conversation. "I really haven't any idea as to how long I'll stay here. It just depends upon what I can get done. My work really depends upon my envirnment. So far, so good though. And I know what you mean by moving from city to city. It gets so awfully tiresome, but sometimes it's just necessary." She paused to take a sip from her drink, then returned her attention to him. "Have you ever been anywhere exciting? And by exciting, I mean a particular place that will always stick with you in a way that just positively makes you glow? Or at least smile." She asked, trying to change the subject somewhat.

((Yargh... Real life keeps getting in the way. I'm sorry I took so long to respond...))

{curse you real-life}

"Yes, moving around so much stops me from making any real friends and any that I do make I I have to make up a reason to leave so suddenly, there's always something to do, something to draw me away from where I've been staying". Vincent leans forwards a little on the bartop. "Anywhere interesting?...well Russia, France and Scotland were really nice. I first saw snow in Russia and the countryside of Scotland is so amazing..plus I love the scottish accent and I've got family history there so it was nice to look into that. What about you, been anywhere interesting?".::

She smiled at the recollection of France. She, too, had visited that country, but it been a much simpler time then. "I envy you. Scotland is a place I would love to go. Or perhaps Ireland, but I never seem to make it that far north. I originally hail from Armenia and I have traveled so much of the world and have forgotten so much more. It's difficult to tell where the best memories are, but the village where I spent my younger years was a wonderful place. And I spent several years with my older sister in China, which was also excellent. I'd have to say that I'd return to anywhere, but Venice, if I could. I just absolutely love to travel, but the settling into a place and making friends department I seem to be lacking myself. However, being a journalist is easily explained, especially when I have to up and run off to another country for business purposes."
