Cut my life into pieces

He said he'd be there when she needed him. Help her when need be. This was his time. She needed advice, and so far, no one has given it to her. Rose had on a small black strapless dress that fit nicely over her figure. Her eyes lined with black and lids with dark purple.
Rose had rushed to the apartments. If it was the right ones she didn' t know. She bit her lip lightly and closed her eyes, tracking the steps she had taken to get there last time. Was she even in the right spot? Let's hope so. Rose looked ahead, seeing the complex that his room held on the top. Rose darted to the stairs, climbing them furiously.
When she reached the hall, she tried to remember the room. Her mind was too jumbled. This wasn't right. She was waking him from his sleep. Rose soon began debating. Should she? Rose sighed and nodded, her hands to her sides. The only way she could get him was calling his name. The poor vampiress couldn't remember the room.
"Gabriel..." she said, her voice in a small, pleading voice. "Gabriel!" she called again, thinking that was too weak. This had a louder ring to it, but not too loud to wake the many that resided in the apartments. She needed him. Badly.
I never realized I was spread too thin
Till it was too late and I was empty within
Hungry, feeding on chaos and living in sin
Downward spiral, where do I begin
It all started when I lost my mother
No love for myself and no love for another
Searching to find a love upon a higher level.

(neh, I'm so behind in everything..that's what i get for not been on the net for three days..but seeing MCR live was worth sacrificing the net)
-- Since the last time Rose had been to his apartment Gabriel had gone out a few times, even meeting a seemed nice enough, proof to himself that he could go out and sociate with other species without getting injured. Gabriel had recently come home from been out, and in the process of dressing as the voice of Rose only just reaches his hearing. At first he isn't sure if what he hears is really there, but as the calling of his name continues Gabriel is sure that it is really Rose. Frowning a little at thoughts of why she would be looking for him run quickly through his head as Gabriel makes his way to the door of his room, quickly pulling on a shirt on the way. Taking hold of the doorhandle Gabriel pulls it forwards a little then slides the door to one side and steps out a little to look down the hall.
He catches sight of Rose almost strait away, "Rose..what are you doing here?, I could only just hear you calling me". Quickly Gabriel looks over her, "You alright, you look all flustered". He walks over to her and runs his hands down her arms to her hands. "Come on, we'll go inside and you can tell me why you're in such a rush".::

Rose turned her gaze quickly to Gabriel as he stepped out, just staring at him as he spoke, looking a bit worried that she had woken him or interrupting him. She bit her lip and saw him step closer to her, chills running up her spin as his hands run down her arms, taking her hands. "Yes...inside..." she whispered, her mind racing and not being able to place her thoughts right. Rose squeezed his hands gently, just to give herself reassurance that she was safe right now. No one knew where Gabriel lived, and the vampires couldn't hunt her out. She frowned at some of her thoughts.
Rose moved in the direction to the door, pulling him lightly with her. When she was inside, she let his hands go and sat on the couch, her hands on her knees and gaze dropping to her lap. She was only trying to find the right words. It was harder than you would think.

-- Letting himself be lead inside Gabriel closed the door behind them as Rose let go of his hands. He started to get one of those feelings, they came whenever there was the possibility of something been wrong. When Rose had seated herself Gabriel moves over to her, sitting beside her, he wanted to know if there really wa anything wrong but didn't exactly know how to ask it. "To what do I owe the honour of your company?". Gabriel leans down a little to look at Rose, "What's on your mind that made you so urgently seek me out?". He smiles a little and sits back in the the couch, drawing his legs up onto the couch and crossing them. "You got me at the right time though, I had been out for a bit and got home only 30minutes or so ago...".::

Rose kept her gaze at her lap, her hands clenched to her dress, wrinkling it slightly. Trembling. Rose was trembling. It was quite odd to see someone like Rose tremble. It was the stress and hunger inside. A small sigh came from her lips, delaying to speak for a moment. "Good...I was hoping I wouldn't intrude," she said softly. Her gaze never left, eyes closing and hair falling over her face.
After the long pause, she clenched up slightly. "They're so stupid...stupid vampires. They...want me dead. Because I won't back down, so they'll pull me down by force," she said, her voice shaky and weak. Gabriel was the only one she could cry in front of. Seeing as she's done it plenty of times before. It was just a loose feeling. This was something she wasn't crying over. She was angry. Mad. Rose shook her head. "They're all bastards," she hissed in a low, angry voice.

"Intruding?, no, I was just changing my clothes when I heard you calling my name and I wasn't about to sleep either, I've been sleeping during the day mostly so during the nights I'm not that tired". He was taken aback a little by her sudden outburst about the vampires at the coven. ""So they're still trying to get you to step down from as leader. I know this is going to sound a little strange, but what if you did?, they wont be able to lead an organised system like the coven without you right so what if you steped down just to show them how much you really hold the whole place together, when they that without someone that is able to control them, give them some form of stability they might see the wrongs of their thinking and ask you to come back as leader". Gabriel looks at the ground, thinking. "Or...you could just go in there and state your authority, challenge anyone who opposes you, it would show them that you're not the weak person they seem to think you are, that I know you're not". He turns to her and lightly kisses her shoulder, "Show them that you're strong and determined not to let them bring you down".::

Sleep in the day? That sounded pretty silly to her. "Why sleep in the day time? You're mortal now...don't you want to feel the warm sun against your skin?" she asked. It was when he spoke that she was quite surprised.
I know this is going to sound a little strange, but what if you did?
"If I did...I'd lose what I worked for. That coven is my life...well...most of it anyway. I want to show everyone I'm strong, and stepping down proves that I gave in. I don't want to look weak in front of my friends...the ones hunting me...and in front of you and Rowena," she said, her voice becoming lost. "I'm not giving up this beautiful place and my position to those stupid vampires. They wouldn't want me back. The leader of this gang is promising Dominic a good position. They'd still have someone strong. But if I do give up? Fall. Would he take over? No. He'd said he would stay...he promised to help me," Rose just continued to rant, the feelings of this whole situation spilling to him. Hopefully she wasn't boring him, or showing the weakest side of her. Weakness was a downfall. That was her philosophy.

That ressured her just slightly. Rose took in a breath as his lips touched her shoulder, her head lifting slightly. "Right now...I'm a coward. Running from my battles. Hiding in the shadows that the vampires can't see. Too young to use their senses," her eyes closing and shaking her head. "I may not be weak...but they will all laugh at me, taking me as a joke. They won't come one at a time. It will be packs, and I can only fend of a few at a time. Not ten to twenty. I'm not as strong as everyone percieves me to be. My skill hasn't surpassed what I want," her voice coming out as a whisper.
What was she saying? Rose was practically telling herself that she's a weak coward which many didn't believe. She shook her head again and growled lightly, her hands coming to her face. "What am I saying...this isn't me..." she whispered to herself, her hands coming down, back to her lap and her head turning to Gabriel slowly. "I'm sorry..." she whispered. What was the apology for? Only God knew that answer.

"I don't know, it's a habit I've always had. I've always prefered to be indoors in the cool of the shadows than be outside where it's hot and stuff, it's not that I don't like the feel of the sun it's just that it's something I don't have to feel all the time, I can live without it. And not doing much during the day gives me energy to do stuff at night".
She was right about everything, stepping down would just inforce their idea that Rose was weak and therefor not fit to have to the position of coven leader. In truth Gabriel wasn't really sure why he had suggested it, perhapes it was some part of him wanting her to do it, so that she wouldn't have to deal with all this mess and so Rose would have some time to just relax and not have to costantly think that there could be someone after her. "Yeah, that's probably not the best thing to do, it was just a suggestion after all".
Gabriel leans his head on her shoulder and puts an arm around her waist. "You're not weak, you know you're not, I know you're not and those stupid vampires know you're not. They're playing mindgames with you, making you believe that you're not strong enough to take them on and you can't let yourself give in to that, the more you fight back the more they see that you're not what they think you are. You know you've always got others backing you up, so don't think that you have to take this all on your own..we wont let you do that".
"Hey, you've got nothing to apologise for, I don't mind you telling me what's on your mind, it's what I'm here for right, someone to tell your secrets and fears to and I wont tell anyone else about them".::

A small sigh left her lips, but it was merely a sigh. Nothing implied. Rose felt his arm around her waist and head on her shoulder, her eyes closing and head resting on top of his own. This only made her worry about the future. His mortality would give them problems. It wasn't necessarily age, for she really didn't care, but it was the fact that he could leave just like that. Not even the sands of time stood in Rose's way.
"These mindgames these people are playing, well, they're winning. I guess I'm at my weak point right now. So far, I'm getting so angry that my willpower is increasing and I think if I see another one of those losers, I know I'll punch their nose it until even the toughest cries," her words seeming to be almost as a threat. They were. She wanted it to be a threatening vow to herself and the ones she spoke about.
"I know I have people with me...but I don't want so many involved. It's my own battle. My fight. The only ones really involved are the ones that follow me in the coven and the ones rebelling. It's a coven dispute upon our kind. It'll be settled. When I gain my courage is debatable because of all the offers the leader of the coupe is sending to so many individuals. It worries me," her hand moved to his hand, her fingers tangling between the strands of hair on top of his head, enjoying the soft feeling on her stone hands.
"Thank you. For being there," she said softly, her eyes opening and fingers continuing their work in his hair.

Gabriel grins a little, "Yeah, you should do that. If you see one of those vampires that's wanting to bring you down, just walk up to them and beat the crap out of them. It'll show who's boss..and it'll give you a chance to let off some steam, vent some anger. Just don't go overboard and go on a beating-up-people spree".
"If you want to fight these fights on your own terms then that's fine. I wont get in your way, or do anything to try to stop you. You'll get your courage back I'm sure of it, and if you want to get some fear into those usurpers then you could get Callic to have a 'talk' with them, I'm sure he'd be able to scare the crap out of them if he really tried, when he's angry..it's a fightening sight". "But the only one really strong enough to replace you would be Dominic right?, and you've said that he'd never turn against you and I don't think there are any vampires in this town that would even come close to been able to replace you as leader of the coven, it just wouldn't be right".
Gabriel nuzzles the curve of Roses neck, some of his hair falling over one side of his face, casting shadows over his eyes, making the already dark brown irises look even darker. As usual the feeling of someone playing with his hair makes Gabriel feel a little sleepy, "Of course I'd be here for you, you're the most important person in my life, it's only right that I be there for you when you need to talk about your thoughts". Gabriel puts his other arm around her waist, holding Rose in a semi-hug.::

Rose laughed softly. "I'm not one to do that. Only Greed can just go around punching people's noses in their heads. It sounds fun and now that I'm talking about it, I want to now. I feel completly opposite of earlier," she said, figuring that she had went through a major mood shift.
"Callic? I don't think he would help. Unless...he's different. I don't want his help anyway, not after what he's done to you," she said. "Yeah...I don't think anyone else could beat Dominic or myself in a one on one fight. It'd just be wrong if he took my place though. I can only imagine the betrayal. Though, some of those who think they're 'fit' enough to rule, they would probably think differently."
Rose kissed the top of his head before laying her head on his, her hand moving to his shoulder, pulling him closer to her. She was important to someone. That just always made the hole that used to reside inside of her just fill up. "Thank you. I hope you know you can come to me too," she said softly, her eyes closing softly and rested her other hand on his forearm.

"He may help, I wouldn't be suprised if killing me caused some kind of mental shift with him. He's never done something like what he did to me before, so it might of changed him in some way, perhaps made him rethink the ways he's been acting, to change his life in some way. I bet you could used a guilt trip on Callic, he's never been able to resist a lady in peril". "The enemy of my enemy is my allie, but it's up to you". Gabriel wasn't trying to get her to get Callic's help, just putting forwards ideas and suggestions. "No-one's more capable to rule that place than you are, you know the place works, the vampires opposing you are stupid to think that they can just force you out and make the whole thing work, it'll fall apart if they don't know what to do".
As he is pulled closer Gabrile shifts his position a little so he is sitting close to Rose, his arms still around her waist. "If I ever need to talk to you then I'll come to you". "Is there anything else you needed to talk about?".::

"Even if he is different, I don't think I would be comfortable talking to him. He killed you. I almost lost you forever. That's kind of hard you know," she said softly, a deep breath filling her lungs, chest lifting slightly with it. The dress she wore wrinkled only slightly as she sat with him beside her. "They'd figure it out. It actually isn't hard to run that place. Just keep the order and you'll be fine," she replied, losing her small bit of confidence. She shook her head.
"Is there anything else you needed to talk about?"
"No...I think that's all I have to say," she said softly. "Thank you so much for listening...I don't think anyone knows what I just said. I'm even surprised I've said it. I usually hide my feelings. That's not the best idea though. I've learned the effects of it."

"Yeah, I can't imagine what it's like to have to go through that. My dad, step-mum and Garnet had to go through losing me and I hate myself for making them have to go through that, and doing it to you was the worst of all". Gabriel closes his eyes, mainly to stop the sadness he felt manifesting itself into tears. "I still think they wont last long without you in the lead".
"I'm always ready to listen to you whenever you need. And I wont tell anyone about what you have said to me, you told me in confidence and trust, and I plane to keep it all to myself".::

Rose held him close, kissing him gently. "At least you came back. Just don't leave me again like that..." she said, her voice getting lost. "I don't plan on leaving that easily. Once I leave, I'll start a fight. I need one. I haven't for such a long time...so maybe I should put in some practice," she said once more, feeling the sadness inside. The feeling never was comforting.
"I'm glad I can trust you. That's just one of the many qualities I love about you," she said softly. A soft hum began to fill the air once more. It was one of those things she had just started doing to give herself a calm feeling.
